The CG Ski Shows were part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Hoover Dam which is near Vegas in 1985. The five-day run for CG shows was just the first leg of a longer trip for several of the skiers on their way to the show nationals as part of the Tampa Bay Ski team, by truck, pulling a jump ramp. We used the jump ramp in Lake Mead, next, leg two, they traveled to Janesville, WI, using the jump ramp the as a second ramp, simulating the two-ramp setup typical of theme park shows. Tampa Bay finished third. Finally they headed back to Tampa, arriving home 5,400 miles later... May be an all-time record for most indirect route to show nationals.
