#UpdateOnMohan; Mohan's condition has so far remained stable the last 24 hours, but we are all extremely anxious and worried. Our team of elephants veterinarians and keepers are constantly by his side doing everything they can to keep Mohan comfortable and continue his medical treatment. His fractured limb has been fitted with a plaster cast to immobilize the fracture. We also have our crane supporting his body weight. We were quite relieved to see him eat some fresh fodder and fruits today. Our veterinarians are constantly pumping him with intravenous fluids to make sure he does not get dehydrated or become weak. We are all extremely concerned about Mohan, and it breaks our hearts to see him like this, but we are doing everything we can and we will do whatever it takes to help him recover.

Thank you for standing by him and us during this incredibly difficult fight, and please keep him in your thoughts and send him prayers and healing for a full recovery.

#UpdateOnMohan While we understand the concern of all our supporters regarding Mohan's health and well-being, we were waiting on the results of a follow up x-ray before sharing an update on Mohan's present condition. Unfortunately, the x-ray revealed that the hairline fracture in the ulna bone has developed into an extended fracture at the distal head of the ulna. As a result any weight on the limb was being borne by the thinner radius bone which further led to a fracture in the lower shaft of the radius bone as well. To make Mohan more comfortable and reduce the chances of bed sores while lying down, we are using inflated rubber tubes as padding on his recumbent side. The heartening thing is that Mohan continues to consume his favorite fodder and drink plenty of water. While our team of veterinarians and keepers continue to provide Mohan with all the possible care and treatment, we are also connecting with vets from around the world to get advice regarding his care.  Please continue to keep Mohan in your prayers, while we await the decision of the vets on the strategy for moving ahead with his treatment.
