It had been over a week since you have seen Light, he had told you to stay put and wait till he was done with Misa for you two to hang out again.

Having your relationship private was hard enough on you but watching him fake a relationship with Misa was a whole different story.

But finally, Light had told you late one night as you laid out on your bed studying that you could come over and stay the night.

You were too excited to the point where you completely forgot about your studying and rushed over as fast as you could, luckily he didn’t live too far.

Once he opened the front door, you embraced him in a tight hug and he almost stumbled back before grabbing a hold of you.

“I missed you.” You mumbled, pulling back and planting a kiss on his cheek before making your way upstairs with him following behind you.

You already were comfortable with his house and where everything was so it wasn’t unusual for you to welcome yourself in and go straight for his bedroom.

Light had shut his bedroom door, locking it and the both of you had laid on his bed, getting under the blankets as you cuddled him, feeling full again as he held onto you.

“It’s been a long week.” Light mumbled, his arms tightly around your small frame and held you close to him.

He placed a kiss on the top of your head before he managed to tilt your head up towards him and connect his lips with yours, giving you a slow yet soft kiss. This was his way of telling you how much he had missed you while you two have been gone away from each other.

He had decided to take things further, his hand sliding down to wrap around your throat while his lips danced with yours, his tongue brushing over your bottom lip practically asking for permission to slip it inside your mouth and you allowed him to, parting it open.

Neither of you noticed the fact that Ryuk had appeared in the room as Light’s mouth devoured yours and you had missed him so much that you couldn’t help but roll over to straddle his waist, your hands cupping his cheeks.

Light had eventually pulled from your mouth, once he did Ryuk had made himself unnoticeable as he stood in the dark part of the room, watching Light’s mouth trail kisses down to your neck.

He was now sitting up with you on his lap as he peppered kisses on your skin. The light breath you had let out as his tongue had licked over your skin and soon placed his mouth over to suck a small bruise. Your fingers had moved to tangle in his hair, lightly tugging on the roots.

Ryuk was convinced that he was just stringing you along and you were nothing more than a game piece he liked to sleep with but he couldn’t move his eyes away from the both of you on his bed, he was glued and fascinated.

“Light,” His name had easily slipped from your tongue in a almost breathless tone, his eyes turning to look up at you with such lust that you were sure you were too far deep in love with him.

The evil smirk that appeared on his face as his fingertips traced along your thighs, sliding up your skirt and your breath hitched in your throat when you felt his roughly squeeze your upper thighs.

“You have no idea how much I missed you, Y/N.” His voice was low but it managed to make your heart flutter and your stomach do flips.

His lips had pressed onto yours again, the kiss slow and passionate while he moved his large hands up to your shirt and slide up inside of your shirt, instantly cupping your breasts enough to make a moan leave your lips.

Finally he had pulled back to lift your shirt above your head and once it was off, Light had felt a little off about the air in the room, he felt as if he was being watched and he had a good hunch about things so when he glanced over, his eyes met with Ryuk’s.

You followed his gaze, almost jumping out of your skin and grabbed your shirt to cover up your chest. The sudden mood change was quick and obvious.

“Are you kidding me?” Light almost shouted and Ryuk had let out a loud laugh at his reaction.

“Sorry, didn’t want to kill the mood.” He lied, knowing that you both knew that Ryuk was just being a perv and watching the entire scene unfold before him.

You threw your shirt over your head, getting off of Light’s lap and sat on his bed, the uncomfortable tension was making things feel more awkward- at least for you. Ryuk didn’t seem to care and Light was annoyed that the moment was ruined.

“Thanks for killing the mood, Ryuk.” Light mumbled, pressing his back against the headboard and you laughed at how dramatic he was being.

“You guys can continue, just pretend I’m not here.”

“Only you would like that you pervert.”

It was a minor mistake that you made, you just wanted to help Light out as best as you could and you couldn’t believe how careless you were to even leave a piece of evidence behind.

L was quick to discover the evidence, the fact that you left something so precious out- it only fueled L’s theory that Light is Kira.

The anxiety you had on the way home as you sat in the car beside Light. It was dead silent, he didn’t speak or even look at you but you knew he was angry. He had to be.

He stayed in his endless amount of thoughts, regretting even letting you do anything with the notebook or even do anything at all that involved Kira. That was his mistake for trusting you with such a big thing that was important to him.

You sighed under your breath, Ryuk laughing to himself inside the backseat of the car but you couldn’t really tell him to shut up or else the driver would just look at you funny.

All you did was give him a dirty look, his laugh only increasing which irritated both you and Light. This was all such a big mess, you wanted to cry for being so stupid.

And once the both of you walked inside of your small apartment, you let the tears stream down your face continuously while you sat on the couch. Light still didn’t bother to look your way and it made you even more upset.

“I’m sorry, I know it was careless of me.” You spoke up first, making his eyes finally turn to look at you and he chuckled under his breath.

“I can’t believe I gave you an easy task to do and you still managed to fuck it up.” His tone was cold, making it hurt even more and make you feel ten times more guilty.

“Give her a break, Light. She’s not like you.” Ryuk jumped in, at least he was noticing how upset you are about this whole thing.

“Stay out of it. We could’ve gotten caught.” He glared at the both of you, angry and annoyed about the fact that L just added another piece of key evidence to his theory.

“I’ll make it up to you, I promise. Just tell me what to do!”

“You’ve done enough, Y/N.” He scoffed, his feet walking out of the living room and left you alone with the giant demon.

The both of you looked at each other, Ryuk was a pain at times but he was much more gentle with you than Light was. He could tell just how stressed out and upset you are, he could tell it was an honest mistake and you’ll do anything to make it up to Light- he just knows Light is too idiotic and selfish to realize that.

“I’ll help you with getting L off his tail for a while.” He managed to say, not wanting to, not wanting to really help but if he didn’t- he’ll just have to deal with you crying over and over again and that was draining enough for him.

Ryuk didn’t want to admit he had taken quite a liking to you and thought you were much more brighter than Light but he also didn’t want to admit that he didn’t want to listen to Light’s whining and complaining about the evidence slipping.

So he had agreed to help. A few days later he had helped you do something small but enough to turn the attention away from him and as you struggled all day, breaking your back to do this for your boyfriend, you couldn’t help but sigh loudly when you entered the small apartment you owned.

Surprisingly Light was there, looking over the computer screen and when he heard your sighing, his eyes had glanced up at you then back down at the laptop. He was still somewhat upset, he would even give you the silent treatment sometimes during the last few days and only spoke to you when he needed something.

Your eyes had landed on him, walking over after kicking off your shoes and setting your bag on the table. You flopped down beside him, glancing over his shoulder to see what he was looking at- news articles.

“Can you talk to me please?” You mumbled, your words making him turn his head to look down at you.

“How many times do I have to apologize about it, Light?” You brought up, meeting his gaze and he just sat there and stared down at you, a soft sigh leaving his lips.

“Messed up a lot of things for me. He’s now a few steps closer.” He shook his head, his hand reaching down to rest on your leg.

“I’ve been putting stuff together to throw in his way to slow him down and it’s been working, he’s looking into someone else for now.” You told him your little thing you’ve been doing to somewhat help him.

You couldn’t help but feel guilty the entire time. You didn’t want to see the fact Light acts selfish and somewhat toxic when it comes to the Kira thing because you were too dedicated to him and too focused on making him stay happy and stay happy with you.

And the way those words had slipped from your lips, making his eyes light up and his eyebrows raise. He wanted to believe that you actually did something to help him and he did when you had explained more into detail what you did.

“Let’s see how long that will last.” He mumbled, turning his head away and his eyes back on the screen before him.

“I just want to make it up to you, Light.” You lean over, resting your chin on his shoulder and gave him a small pout.

“Oh yeah?”

“Yes, always.” You responded, his eyes moving to burn into yours and the small smirk on his lips had given him more ideas.

You had caught on pretty quickly, it wasn’t hard to catch onto Light’s hints when he would throw them your way. You stared up at his eyes, you would do anything for him, you were blinded by love and definitely love sick.

He was everything you wanted and more.

You leaned up, brushing your lips against his before he had leaned forward to close the gap between you both, moving your lips in sync and feeling his soft hand reach down to caress your cheek. You had been craving his soft touches and some affection from him for days while he had been mad at you from that incident.

You never wanted Light to be mad at you so when he does end up angry, all it does is make you sad and try to find ways to make it up to him and make him happy again.

The sudden tug had made you snap back in reality as he pulled you on top of his lap, making you straddle his waist while he leaned back against the couch cushions. Your lips molded perfectly with his, the way you had felt your stomach explode with butterflies was nothing but amazing.

He was quick to take over the dominant role, slipping his tongue inside of your mouth and explored the area while soft breaths and whines had left your lips and muffled against his. Light had moved his hands down to grab a hold of your throat but soon moved further to slide his hand up the skirt you were wearing.

He always loved the skirts you wore, especially when it gave him easy access to you in moments like these. His fingertips had brushed along your soft skin of your upper thigh and teasingly ran just one fingertip over your panties where you had just been aching for him.

“Do you even deserve to be touched after what you did?” He mumbled against your mouth, pulling back to get a good look at your flushed face and you slowly nodded.

“I don’t know.. you kinda fucked things up for Kira.” He trailed off, making you lean forward and pepper kisses along his jawline and down to his neck.

You knew exactly where his weak spot was, making his heart pound in his chest and his knees grow weak at the way you sucked and licked over his sweet spot like it was nothing but he knew you were only doing it to make him further his actions and take off your clothes.

You and Light weren’t all that exclusive, there was a fling there but he hasn’t officially asked you out yet which you didn’t pressure him into doing because it wasn’t all that big of a deal, you knew how busy he was half the time.

But one day he had unexpectedly invited you over to his place, mainly to distract the fact that there were hidden cameras inside of his room and he needed to show L that he was a regular guy.

You didn’t know about the death note nor about anything Kira related, he wanted to wait for the right time and he wanted to make sure he can trust you enough to handle that information.

So when you went to his place and followed him up to his bedroom, you knew nothing of his plan or the fact people were watching you.

You settled on his bed, bringing your hands up to wrap around Light’s neck and tugged him closer to you.

“I missed you.” You mumbled, brushing the strands of hair back from his eyes and he gave you a genuine smile.

“Believe me, I hate being busy with studying too.” He said, his lips peppering a kiss on your cheek and suddenly tilted his head to press his lips onto yours.

L had stared at the monitor, watching the both of you. This wasn’t the first time he’s seen you, he’s met you in person once and mainly has seen you with Light inside of his bedroom. He couldn’t help but keep his eyes on you when you would sit in his room, the way you sat in the corner of his bed while Light studied.

He didn’t want to admit about the fact he thought you were beautiful, it felt wrong to even think that when he was supposed to be investigating Light but seeing your smile through the screen, it made his heart race.

But when he watched the two of you get cuddled up on his bed, making out, he had a sense of jealousy lingering over him but he couldn’t tear his eyes away from the screen as he ate the candy in his hands.

Light knew they were being watched, this was all going the way he wanted it to and he was confident it was going perfectly. He couldn’t help the smirk on his face as his lips molded with yours and his hands touching over your body and settling on your hips.

Time had went by, Light continued to invite you over numerous times when the cameras were in his room to put on a show for L and you were too oblivious to see through it.

It was now the little ceremony at the University, you had sat beside Light and you noticed L sitting in the other side of him.

Light was tensed almsot the entire time and he had excused himself to go get a drink and left you and L alone. You could see his pink tinted cheeks and you smiled at him.

“How have you been doing? I hope your investigation is going well.” You spoke up first, making his eyes move up to yours and he could feel his heart pounding inside of his chest.

“Yes, everything is going well so far.” He nodded, tapping his fingers on his knees, not really knowing what to say.

The way he tried to avoid eye contact with you and how pink his cheeks were, you found him absolutely adorable.

“That’s good, hope things work in your favor.” You said again, making his eyes shoot to look into yours and that’s when he had realized that you had no clue about Light being a suspect or maybe you were playing dumb?

He didn’t know and he could tell how pure you are, he didn’t want to believe that you know about Light possibly being Kira and all that. Of course you knew about the investigation but you had no idea that Light was being looked at closely.

Everyone had sort of kept that from you, especially Light and he did for good reasons- afraid you’ll leave if you found anything out.

“I appreciate that.” He gave a small shy smile, soon dropping it and bringing his thumb up to his lips as he stayed deep in his thoughts.

He was going over every theory, every possible idea in his head. Did you know? Were you helping Light? Everything was spiraling inside and he was hoping you weren’t like that. He wanted to believe that you were as innocent as you seemed on the outside because honestly, he had some feelings for you.

He had glanced over at you from time to time when you weren’t looking but deep down you could see him from the corner of your eye, finally turning your head to look at him, completely forgetting about the fact that Light was gone.

“Can I buy you coffee?” You abruptly said to him which caught him completely off guard and he stared at you wide eyed.

“Coffee? With you and Light?”

“No, just us.” You laughed softly, shaking your head at the thought. Sure you were technically having a thing with Light but it was never made official, you’re still somewhat single but you loved Light- you just feared he didn’t love you as much.

“I’ll love to.”

“Love to what?” Light spoke, sitting back down in the seat in the middle of you two and your eyes met with his with a big smile on your face.

“I wanna buy L coffee, he seems nice.” You admitted, nothing to hide and Light had a sense of jealousy but he also used that to his advantage- you could distract L and move his eyes from him.

“That would be fun, she knows a great coffee place downtown.” He encouraged, looking down at L and giving him a gentle nudge with his elbow.

“Oh, okay then sounds like a plan.” L agreed, fiddling with his fingers as he thought about the idea of you buying him coffee- it sort of made him blush but his black hair was covering it pretty well.

But you and Light could tell how flustered he was underneath that and honestly the both of you had laughed about it to yourself. Light for his selfish desires and you because you thought L was adorable and a soft boy.

You could feel your heart flutter at the thought of being alone with L and it felt sort of wrong but also thrilling at the same time. You reached over to rest your hand on top of Light’s, looking ahead and listening at the ceremony and he had chuckled under his breath.

He could see this triangle getting him far enough to get away with being Kira and having the death note.
