Still thinking about how the light swings toward them as Ed embraces Stede for the first time. It shines on their faces, literally lighting them up in all the positives of the fuckery they pulled off successfully.

But the lamp continues swinging past taking the light with it, cause this is only the first shining moment together. They still have hardships they need to go through. Ed physically moves away from the light for a second, just like when he has to put the mantra of Blackbeard — the Kraken — back on for a spin.

But that lantern will swing back around and shine its light on both of them together again. Because this is not only the beginning of their friendship/relationship, it is their future. The giddy laughter, the happy touching, the light ever shining through the darkness. And they will continue it — together.
