Reading the manga and thought... What if L was (blatantly) just a piece of self-absorbed shit and said it was awesome to be thought of as Kira? Light still can’t really read him at this point, and it’s hilarious seeing him trying to get a certain response out of him only to have his attempt thrown back in his face, so I went for the extreme.
Also, I drew Light’s sports jacket clothes from memory, so it’s not accurate, sorry
