I was watching a video with one of those never have I evers, where it was like: Would you rather be Kira or L, and the guy playing picked L because he wasn't as smart as Light and would get caught and then made a joke about a previous never have I ever choice.
Which, I know it's not that deep, BUT-
First of all, this is completely ignoring the fact that L is smarter than Light (I'm not going into a debate about IQ numbers right now so don't @ me) but second of all, do you know how difficult it is to get caught as Kira??? The reason why Light got caught was because of a) his ego and b) because he had a pattern where he would write names at specific times. You can just be a normal person and as long as you aren't STUPID, you're good!
Third of all, if you're L, you actually have to be a detective and I'm assuming that his IQ doesn't come with the role of the best detective, so you're cooked.
Lowkey, if I was mentally unwell enough to kill people and become Kira, I think I'd be super fixated on it for a week and get info via true crime podcasts or drama that pops up on my social media feed, do it all day and then get bored of it and not kill anyone until I regain interest in my dubious justice.
