i just want to mention and remind everyone that there is more to this season then just lucas and eliott falling for one another. there is more to both of their characters then their first kiss. this entire season revolves around taking off that mask and realising the truth about who you really are. about getting over your fears and having the faith in yourself and others to come out of the dark and into the light. within every moment, without the girl squad,without Chloe and dare i say le gang, we wouldn’t and will not see them develop into the beautiful people we all know they are going to become.
we have to remember that eliott transferred here, most likely still not over everything that had happened in his previous school. having to deal with the wonders of if he still wants to be with the person he thought he still loved and on top of that having to deal with his mental illness, i can understand him not wanting to face the world, i understand a whole damn lot.
lucas is now challenging everything he once believed, now realising that things aren’t a simple as they are supposed to be. like come on they’re supposed to be teenagers. all i did in college was have panic attacks and cry all the time. everyone makes mistakes, but that’s how we learn anyway. just how the both of them will learn with their mistakes. when has anything in life been in black and white? love can be just as complicated. and i think the fact that even with the tension there is between one another, nothing is rushed or jumped into. it’s just these boys figuring everything else in their own time and i think that’s beautiful.
