Atop the mountain it sits,

a slumbering creature of peace.

Watching as the world turns,

the stars burn,

and the bright moon rises.

Observing as the colours of the valleys change

from the pastels of spring,

to the lush greens of summer,

to the golden tones of autumn,

into a blanket of iridescent white

which covers the world

in the quiet winter.

Lovingly it gazes out,

Upon this world,

and all its creatures.

Gently,

so gently,

it dreams

all things into being. ✨
