4.5/5 middle grade graphic novel, magical realism/modern with magic, coming of age
A girl who doesn't want to grow up makes friends with the ghost in her house, this was a work read id already had bookmarked because it looked cute, this was such a sweet little story i loved it, I love how in her evolution into teen-dom it showed her still being her weird kid self by making her a little baby goth it was adorable,
possible cw: a child ghost means there's backstory for a child's death (illness)

An immigrant family deals with the difficulties of life by sharing Vietnamese fairy tales together, this was a work read id already had bookmarked because i heard it is good & i like learning about culture im unfamiliar with (idk shit about vietnam), this was really sweet i really enjoyed it
possible cw: dark fairy tales, homophobia (religious in nature & by authority figures), being outed

4.75/5 middle grade graphic novel, fantasy
A girl teams up with a member of a supposedly extinct fantasy race to find her missing grandfather, using work as an excuse to read this one, i'm actually super intrigued by this one like i could really get into this series, owl house vibes

4.5/5 fiction manga, family, action,
The Forgers go on a cruise & Yor has an internal struggle over being a working mom, i love this look into Yor's character it was so nice, also so many cool action scenes this is going to be so exciting animated (tho i have a hard time following in manga it makes the panels so busy and hard to read)

A horror anthology centering around a curse of grabbing hands, it's very disjointed but it kinda works for it, horror imagery was pretty solid even if i could have used more context
