it reeks:   a  fetid  /  foul  cloud,  a presence of  choking  intensity.  you freeze,  but the crowd is unperturbed  /  relentless,  seemingly unbothered by the rush of rotted  chi  that wraps its fingers ‘round your throat and  squeezes.   your eyes slide frantic across the rush of bodies,  but the monster does not make itself apparent;  you see only  humanity  in its multitude,  an ever-moving people.  shaken  /  distracted,  you turn to find your sense of direction,  and run  full-tilt  into a stranger.

His rude banter was something she’d grown accustomed to. No changing that, well perhaps if it were Kagome but even then... Sango learned to roll with the punches; unaffected by his tone.
