honey doe eyes could only look at the person in front of her, rather confused by the spiritual pressure ( she wasn’t hundred PERCENT if it was that. ) that was emitted off them. she wasn’t sure -- what he was --- but’s certainly not a human is he. the healer stayed silent BEFORE her lips finally parted. ❝ what are you --- ah gomen’ne i don’t mean to be rude -- but i don’t think i’ve ever run into someone like you .. ❞
‘ hmph-- so you're here again. ’ the boy jumps down to ethereal being-- multiple arms of vivid patterns where roses bloom at finger tip. it was light && life in essence, something the raven regarded with adversity, unsettled eyes resting down, painted in vague disdain. although, if he truly found such presence unbearable, perhaps he would not of approached. ( no--- he definitely wouldn’t of )

it’s a cold stare that a mask offers.
❛ leave. ❜
an uninterested crane of his neck, gaze directed away.
“I don’t know what to do my whole brain is crying!”
Normally, discipline for breaking something so valuable -that vase was over two thousand years old, tribute for his royal ancestors- would be swift and appropriately severe, but Arita was hardly in the state of mind for that. Kneeling down to lay a hand on the diminutive being’s stump shoulder, Iroh closed his eyes to clear his frustration in a moment to reassure Arita. “Just take a seat and breathe; when you’re ready, you can help me clean this up. Okay?”

THEY SEEMED TO GLOW. NOT THE DEITY BUT THE MORTAL.
The youth sat there reading thoughtfully, books galore as they sat in the stacks. Stories of mythical beasts and small delicate creatures. The stories of triumph and those of tragedy. It swirled around their head so feverishly. They wanted to write their own! And there would be, tales of the young deity’s conquests! Bringing peace to lands greater and far off. There would be plenty of tales, stories, songs, all of those wonderful things detailing Arita’s divinity! But for now they read and looked up to their caretaker.
“Great beauty…..that is true. And a great poet…..does need a brush and ink. But can they not keep all those words in their head? And then recite them? Well….If they do their words might be skewed over time and the beautiful poetry would not be as it once was……hmmmm I do not think I UNDERSTAND your quote fully”
Iroh smiled softly for the young child, their thoughts winding like a road in the country, following the contours of the mountains and the rivers. It was a relief to know such great power rested with a thoughtful, gentle spirit such as theirs. He kneeled at the deity’s side, shifting one stack of books to make room, and laid his hand on their shoulder. Months ago, the stump of their shoulder (not to mention the arms sprouting from their back) would have unnerved him, having seen so many brothers-in-arms end their careers in such a condition, but now he paid it no mind.
Some context might help. “It’s from a general’s letter to his younger brother; he wanted the best, newest weapons they had, but his older brother told him that if he was a good general, what he had already was good enough.” Upon reflection, Iroh realized he’d never actually told his young charge about the great Hundred Year War that had made the world, but such stories were not fit for a child’s ears. What mattered was cultivation, not destruction.
“Simply, beauty, strength, and wisdom come from what you are, not what you have. Therefor, you should cultivate yourself, rather than seek to acquire things.”
"I do not know how to change back" the child huffed, curled up into a ball sitting in the palm of the entity's hand. "I do not like this"
They were sure that if they knew how, they would be laughing at the current situation. A small deity now rested within the palm of their hand, if they could not find it comical then they would find it adorable. ❛ I believe now is the perfect time to learn how, deities are suppose to have some sort of mastery over their skills, correct? ❜ An ashen finger had lowered to gently pat Arita.
❛ I believe you are rather cute, and if you cannot change back then perhaps you will be the first deity of your size. Would that not be exciting? ❜
