It was a headache to say the least. Xemnas never understood if he came home late and staring at these papers was hurting his eyes. He had no idea what Demyx was meant to be doing or how he was meant to report on it if it hadn't been done.
"Not finished your work?" A voice came from the door, golden eyes looking up to meet a matching pair. "This is Demyx's, not mine. I do mine as soon as I get it. I never have piles of work this big." He gestured to a large stack of papers on his desk, giving a low growl, "I'm sick of him giving his work to other people and expecting me to fill out his paperwork for him." "Well, we will deal with Demyx. Is he still here?" "He left a couple of minutes ago. If you want to talk to him, he said something about going to get flowers." He went to look back at the paperwork, only to get hit in the face by his coat as Xemnas threw it at him.
The man had already left when Saix had put his coat on. He chased after him, catching up as they left the building.
"So... you're going to humiliate him in public?" He smirked, "I like the idea but most shop keepers will throw you out if you start a fight in their shop, even just yelling." "Humiliating him in public is a good way to teach a lesson." Another voice came from behind them, a scarred hand pressing down on Saix's shoulder. "Who invited him? Where did you even come from?" Saix scowled, glaring at the man behind him as her continued walking. "He is the vice president of the company. He leaves when I do or later. I actually think he'll enjoy this." A small smirk and exchanged look worried Saix but he would go along with it, after all, he couldn't say anything. The boss made the rules. "Fine. I thought that seeing your friend being yelled at and losing his job wouldn't be to your taste." "It's not," Xigbar laughed, patting Saix's shoulder, "It's the celebration I'm looking forward to."
Saix gave another shudder, sure he knew what that meant but not pointing it out. It was better to stay quite and fake ignorance at this point, it might even put Xigbar off.
"There he is." Xemnas nodded the blond coming out of a flower shop, his arms cradling a large bouquet. A large smile was spread over his face, nodding along to the music in his headphones.
That smile quickly disappeared as a large hand grabbed his hair, shoving him into an alleyway not too far from the shop. Another hand grabbed the flowers, throwing them on the floor and stomping on them, about half way down the stems.
"A little harsh." Saix commented, walking up behind the two with crossed arms, tearing the headphones from Demyx's ears, "You left a lot of paperwork over the past week." "Shut up, Wolfy, he'll never listen to you." Xigbar interrupted, "I can take this one, right, boss?"
Less than a second split the man's nod from Xigbar drawing his weapon, putting it less than a centimeter from Demyx's head, right between his eyes.
"Whoa! Man, look, I'll do my work, just put that thing away!" Demyx panicked, his eyes set only on the gun, moving back until he was pressed against a brick wall behind him. "I... don't think that's needed, Xigbar." Saix started, reaching out to try and lower his gun, only to be stopped by the superior's hand on his. "It would be better for your and Axel's health if you joined in, Saix." Xemnas told him, his face growing into a smirk, "Try and enjoy it."
----
Once Xigbar has finished, Demyx dropped to the floor, panting and crying. His back was cut up from the bricks behind him and he didn't want to know where the blood drops on the floor had come from. He felt disgusting, dirty and used.
Saix was trembling as he watched, although trying to keep his composer as much as he could with the superior's blade at his throat and the knowledge of what would happen next. A sick feeling had been building in him since before Xigbar started, having watched him torn the poor blond's clothes and subject him to such punishment.
"It's your turn." The voice came from behind him, pushing him towards Demyx, "If you start going easy, it'll only be worse for Axel." "Of course, Superior..." Saix whispered, kneeling down to Demyx's level and whispering to him, "I-I'm sorry, Demyx..."
Fear rushed through him as he felt the gun pushed slightly against the back of his neck, standing quickly and following his orders.
----
Saix stumbled backwards, holding his mouth and stomach. He couldn't look at Demyx. He couldn't look at any of them. That sick feeling had only gotten worse until he couldn't stand it any more.
Saix fell to his knees, choking it all up into a bin a few feet behind Xemnas. The gun was still aimed at him and he knew it. He couldn't run from them. What would happen if he tried? He'd be dead, that he didn't mind so much but what would happen to Axel? What would they do to Demyx.
----
When Xemnas had finished with him, he went to Saix's side, kneeling next to him and pulling his hair.
"Come on, you're the one who asked for this, weren't you?" He smirked, pushing his head forward so Saix was looking straight at Demyx, "Now, Xigbar, take care of this pest."
Xigbar gave a small nod and aimed his gun at Demyx's head, clicking his tongue.
"Nice knowin' ya', D-..." "Don't shoot him!" Saix interrupted, looking between the three of them. Xemnas was confused, as was Xigbar. Demyx was in tears. He probably didn't even realise what was happening anymore. He was shaking and curled up. It pained Saix to see. "Won't it be better to let him live?" "He'll tell someone what happened. Do you want to go to jail?" Xemnas hissed, pulling back harder on Saix's hair. "He won't tell!" The man pleaded, wiping the vomit from his lips, "Plus, won't it be so much worse for him, letting him live."
Xemnas and Xigbar looked at each other for a moment, giving a small nod before putting their weapons away and turning to leave.
"Sort yourself out and then get home. You owe us for letting him live." That thought made Saix shudder. He knew exactly what they meant. It would be worse if he didn't follow orders. "Yes, sir." "Hey, I'll be there soon. Got some business first." Xigbar chuckled, giving Xemnas a small wave, "This was fun."
-----
As soon as they had left, Saix crawled beside Demyx, patting his shoulder gently.
"Demyx, go stay at a friend's house." He advised, trying to keep a distance, "You want me to walk you there?"
There was a small nod and Saix stood up, holding out his hand for Demyx.
"I'll take you to the street before. If I go any further, I'm afraid what might happen. I'm going to be punished for being late as it is."
