Naia walked into Mauville City for the first time in years, and immediately looked for a directory along the edges of the street. The city had changed so much since she had visited last, she couldn't even recognize it at first. What once was a plain town with few distinct buildings became a bustling city filled with shops, restaurants, and new technology. 

"I am in Mauville, right Salsa?" She asked the Lombre standing next to her, who answered with a shrug. He had never been to Mauville, so how would he know if they were in the right city? With a sigh and then a chuckle, she put her hands on her hips. "You wouldn't know either, huh..? Well, come on. Let's go find a place to eat, then!"

Turning swiftly on her heal, the swimmer waltzed into the street, and accidentally walked straight into another girl. "Oh crap, sorry about that! Are you okay?"

Rampant Consumerism (W/ Nymph)

If there was one good thing that came out of Kitty's League Journey, it was that she had at least found a new favorite place to shop. It was hard nowadays to find electronics stores that still sold wires and circuit components rather than just PC and phone accessories, but the shrine of consumerism that was Mauville City had a store for damn near anything under the sun.

A spreadsheet floated in front of Kitty, her Caster balanced precariously on the handlebars of her shopping cart (Mental note to self: Print out a bracket to hold my Caster next time). Just barely visible through the screen was a mountain of boxes of capacitors, breadboards, spools of electric wire, processors, and even parts for a car stereo system. She was getting dangerously close to blowing her whole budget in one trip, and one wrong move meant she might have to organize another fundraiser and invite more technologically-incompetent plebians into her Space.

The mere thought of it made her shudder. The last time it happened, she was pretty sure only three people understood that they weren't a damn design shop, and you came here to make things, not have things made for you.

After crunching the numbers in the middle of the LED aisle, she figured she probably had enough money to buy another few boxes of lights, and then she'd have to go. She hopped up onto her tippy-toes to reach for the product she wanted, waaaay on the top shelf, but... Her short, petite stature just didn't have the reach. She tried jumping for it, hoping she'd at least be able to knock down one box...

And instead she knocked down a couple dozen, all crashing to the ground with an avalanche of hollow cardboard sound. Welp. Typical engineer, always bringing up a solution that only causes more problems.
