Dragon Vending Machine Snacks
Are our dragons advanced enough to have vending machines?...maybe. Do I believe that Lightning Flight has mandated snack breaks and thus probably have something similar to vending machines? YES. So some vending machine snacks for your dragons!
Rainbow Candy Belts- strips of Rainbow Trout that are cured with salt and sugar, and then smoked. During the smoking it is painted with a Prickly Pear syrup till a bright orange lacquer forms. Vacuumed sealed to retain freshness, but it never lasts long enough to spoil when you have a firm filled with Ridgebacks.
Superberry Sours- Engineered Superberries are a unique fruit genetically modified to provide a small magical boost, the blue color was an acceptable side effect. Superberries and ripe Puckerberries (for extra tartness) are boiled into a syrup before being made into hard candy drops.
Goldensparc Golden Puffs- the base of this snack is Pampass Grass puffs made from grains that are puffed (high pressure extrusion), dried, then toasted for flavor. The puffs are still bland by themselves, so extra flavors and ingredients are added to them. Fans favorites are Wild Catsup powder and freeze-dried Craig Flies (tangy sweet), Ground Krill and Ashfall Prickler powder (spicy seafood), Golden Milkweed syrup and Luminous Almonds (sweet slightly bitter), and curried Dodo egg (savory salty).
Haywire Sandwich Crackers-this confection is a sandwich of two Luminous Almond crackers between which is a large tangle of salty sweet meat floss. Most common meats used are: Dodo, Rambra/Zeebra, Old World Rabbit, and Hooded Hen. One variety has fish floss made from Marlin and Swordfish (imports from Water) and is very popular amongst seafood lovers.
Volt Energy Bars- a bar packed with High-Voltage Almonds, dried Thunder Scarab, and salted Livewire Endlers that is then coated in a sweet Blueberry syrup. Cloyingly sweet yet also crunchy, salty, and savory. It is said that one could provide a Fae enough energy for a week.
Lumen-ous Moon Mints- a cool and refreshing breath mint made from the Lume Daffodil (which only blooms under moonlight) and Peppermint. Extremely useful for those who had fish for lunch and now have a meeting with the boss.
Firebrand Nopale Soup- a unique can that has a warmer made of Firebrand Tungsten (a waste product from Fire Flight) at the bottom that will heat the soup up in a few minutes. The most common soup is one made of diced Notocactus, Wild Onion, Golden Peppers, tomatos, and Hooded Hen broth.
Stingers- a soda that leaves a sharp tingling sensation after drinking. The carbon dioxide of the soda does help create the sting, but it is the added dried Electric Stinger tentacles that make the effect sharper and longer lasting. Valuable for those working long nights who need the quick jolt of vitality.
Honeyed Oasis Tea- a cold and bitter tea made from Pelagas Feather bark and ginger. At the top of bottle is a small vial of Perdita Bee honey that can be popped into the drink to help sweeten it.
Savanna Sunrise- a bright, citrusy juice made of Marigolds, Prickly Pear, and Puckerberries. Not uncommon to mix this with Stonewatch Scrub Tequila at the end of a very long and hard shift.
