In 2017, FRC 862 (along with our teammates, The Cheesy Poofs, Stryke Force, and the Pasack PI-oneers) took the title of World champion amongst over 3,300 teams.
My team! Lightning Robotics!
I'm super proud to have contributed my little part to our robot, Valkyrie, who helped earn us our Worlds title AND a win at the Festival Of Champions (since there's 2 world championships, the FOC is a for-fun game between the two champs).
If you're unsure if you'd call robotics a sport, it absolutely is! (I got my varsity letter for robotics!)
