I freaking love how much love the people in Tampa have for their team. Literally just getting doughnuts downtown and I passed so many buildings and businesses with huge banners supporting the Lightning. Every other car seems to have little flags or a bumper sticker, and if you're wearing something blue and white, there's gonna be at least six other people dressed similarly in every place you go who will either smile or talk to you, especially on game days. I love this game for what it is, but I love this team for the community it brings.

predictions: 4/27 (tampa bay vs new york)

John Tavares will score a hat trick in this game. Also next game. Also every game until the Islanders either get knocked out of the playoffs or win the cup. He will drag his team to the finals or die trying.

Ryan Strome will get into a fight to defend his brother’s honor. He will lose but everyone will still be very proud of him. He may also get a hat trick, but it depends on whether he completed the Blood Sacrifice before the game or not.

The referees will ignore at least three obvious calls that would have gone in favor of the lightning. Figures.

Steven Stamkos makes a frankly miraculous recovery from injury in time to join his team for the third period. He plays well and everyone tells him good job, Steven. He gets a lot of high fives. It’s great.
