She hadn’t seen Barry in months and the first time they see each other again it’s for a police ball for Joe. She was nervous, but she got on with Barry so she wasn’t sure why she was. Maybe because she used to have a huge crush on the guy.  She stepped out of the taxi and paid the fare before heading for the stairs. She looked around but couldn’t see him and they had agreed to meet outside. She stood patiently whilst inside she was freaking out. She would give him a few more minutes before leaving.

When Gideon alerted the Legends of a disturbance in time, many of them were confused. Why wouldn’t she just say “anachronism” like usual? But perhaps it was important; on a new level of disturbance.

The Waverider landed in an Egyptian desert, 2611 B.C. It was broad daylight and the pyramids were half built. People were...not working on them. Martin was the first to find the disturbance. Ancient Egyptians were watching in awe as Barry Allen, scruffy and disoriented, wrote things on the side of one of the pyramids.

“Barry?” Martin was shocked, though his feet took him closer, placing a hand on the young man’s shoulder. The Ancient Egyptians muttered to themselves. Ray said something about them thinking that Barry was a god.

   For a very brief moment, she’s flying.

   In front of her is a very super-powered individual who just hit her with a fucking mail collection box. Behind her is a busy street, the traffic swerving as quickly as possible from the oncoming fight, a cacophony of horns and screeching tires. 

   Daisy throws her hands out, trying to get a handle on which way is up or down, power vibrating through the bones of her fingertips — and then everything cuts out, like a light switch going off without warning, and her entire body lurches about four blocks away. She’s deposited onto her feet, air seemingly gone from her lungs, skin buzzing, the world bleeding back into the edges of her vision —

   She knows that feeling. It’s usually because Yo-Yo zipped her back and forth across a room, except this time it’s ten times worse.

   Doubling over, she hurls out the contents of her stomach and pushes her hair angrily out of her face.

   “What the hell — no — who the hell are you supposed to be? Quicksilver 2.0?”

Return to Earth 1

Today was the day.

Emily knew this would happen eventually. Barry already had a home back in his universe and she had promised him her help in getting him back. Still, she felt conflicted about it. 

It was safe to say that she hadn’t expected to fall for him. Emily hadn’t expected to fall for anyone, let alone a speedster from another universe. She didn’t think that falling in love was in the cards for her at all. For once, she was glad she was proven wrong on that front...but now she had to say goodbye to Barry.

Another reason for hesitation was the journey itself. Emily had never really done such a massive jump before and the fear of something going wrong was always in the back of her mind. They could end up getting lost and ending up somewhere completely different than their intended target. Not to mention how physically draining it could be on her. Jumping between different universes would probably leave her physically and mentally exhausted.

But it wasn’t about her. Barry had to go home and the last thing she wanted was for him to see her worried. After all, Barry was probably excited to finally be getting back to his earth. He must have missed his friends and family there after nearly a year stuck here with her.

“Well, this is it! You ready to go home, Barry?” she asked with a smile, hoping it was at least somewhat convincing “Next stop: Star Labs.”

She grabbed her backpack off the table, checking its contents for what felt like the fifth time in an hour “Okay, we got food for the very hungry Barry, change of clothes, phone...I still feel like I’m forgetting something.”

       “Barry!!!” Oliver called out to the other rather loudly, the alcohol dampening his sense of volume. “Heyyyy! C’mere, I gotta show you how awesome I am at bow an’ arrow while sshhhhhitfaced!” He slurred his words and the smile that twisted on his face showed how inebriated he was.

Something was wrong. Something was wrong and Wally wasn’t really sure what was wrong or who was responsible for it.

He hadn’t encountered any criminal until now during the day and no one had tried to take over the world or destroy it either. The League remained silent too.

And yet.

He trusted his gut enough to know that he shouldn’t ignore this feeling. On the contrary, Wally felt a certain pull. Something or someone tried to guide him somewhere. Since it didn’t feel very evil Wally decided to follow suit.

Wally went about it slow, slow for a speedster anyway, and ran down the streets of Central, changing directions when the pull came from a slightly different one. When a street couldn’t provide him with a direct way towards it.

He still reached it fairly fast and looked around. There was nothing odd about this place, nothing that screamed magic or anything else. It didn’t feel like magic anyway.

Impatient he zipped around the area, even asked out loud of some was there but nothing came back. Sighing, he stretched himself out and glanced upwards. And then he saw it. Something was just...wrong with the sky. He blinked several times but before he could focus on it it vanished again.

And a guy came falling out.

“What?!”

Laurel offered him a polite and nervous smile. “Yes you.” Her eyes glanced around looking for someone and sighing in relief at the fact that she couldn’t see him. “Because you look nice, cute and I don’t think you’re going to follow me back to my mothers and stalk me.” She was in Central City to visit her mother and do a little healing from the last couple of years.

“There’s this guy who will not leave me alone and he just happens to be here tonight. I thought if I had someone who was my date he might leave me alone.” She really didn’t want to have to send a stronger message and technically the guy was just bordering on the side of annoying and not stalking yet.
