Lights Dim - Bent
I went to a birthday party for a one year old today, his mom is a long time family friend. But her husbands side of the family....yikes. There is only so much time that one can handle being around drunk, obnoxious, sexist, racist, assholes that make a pass at anything that looks veaguly obtainable, despite both parties being married. Then making comments about how 'This coon asked me if I wanted some koolaid, and he poured in the powder and sugar and asked how much water I wanted. Ahaha, stupid N****'.

Lights Dim: Out of the Frying Pan into the Fire
Static. White noise hummed in my ears as I clawed my way to the light at the end of the tunnel. It was but a candle flame but still attainable. I had minutes before I'd be pulled back from the feet of death. My mind assessed every organ in my body as they reformed their selves, stronger, better than before. My brain purged and reassembled itself replacing my quiet mind with a bustling power house. It's will to live gripping my ankles and dragging me back. Back down to the body I was dreadfully aware of. I dug my nails into the tunnel walls fighting desperately towards the light. I knew what would happen if I lived, the monster I was becoming. I had never prayed before in my life but at that moment I begged God to kill me. "Mel? No no, please no. You gotta hang in there. C'mon, sweet heart." Dean's voice filled my bitter consciousness. He pressed a desperate ear to my chest. Ah the light was further dimming even as I crawled towards it. Slight warmth replaced the static in my limbs. "Is she?" Sam asked from farther away. I wish, I'm trying to be...I don't want to live. "No she's alive," Dean spoke hastily. Not for long, not if I can help it. Suddenly the weight of my body shifted, salt and iron poured out of my mouth, along with chunks of unknown substances. "Kill me," I rasped once my mouth was clear. Thoughts flitted across my mind like speeding cars. "What?! What happened to you?" Dean demanded. "Dean, you have to kill me," my voice was like that of a chain smoker, every vocalization burned my throat horrendously. If he didn't end me now, I'd never die. Life was slowly creeping throughout my entire body. The static of dead limbs leaving, coming to life. "Dean, we should get her inside." Sam said. "No shoot me. Shoot me now!" I demanded, my voice breaking, like dropped tuning forks. Every moment death was dulling, life was dragging me back by the ankles kicking and screaming. "What? No, Mel? I'm not gonna kill you," Dean replied as he picked me up. It was a simple answer of an ignorant man, a man holding a time bomb. "Please for me," I whimpered just at the edge of the tunnel. "No," he answered in a voice like nails and with that life yanked me back into my body. The thoughts were like a crowd in a vast hall. All of them babbling, the pitches thrown all about the room in descant, none of them making sense. Shh I ordered the thoughts and they quieted all at once to a gentle hum. Dean trudged in the motel room and lie me on the bed. "Why would she ask me-" Dean began. "Look we don't know what she's been through." Sam's voice was calmer than Dean's, more rational. Ah, yes the apple. If only he'd killed me. "You should have killed me," I spoke softly,"You can't anymore." I assessed my heart rate, it beat stronger than ever. My other internal organs were running at high efficiency. I didn't bother opening my eyes. I could picture the room from its smell, and the sounds that thrived in it. I could hear the heart beats of the men in the room, and every expansion of their lungs. "What the hell does that mean?!" Dean yelled at me. "Exactly what I said," I answered simply. "Mel you have exactly five seconds to explain to me-" "Exactly five seconds? Do you even want me to explain? It's simple, you can't kill me now." "You-" Wind from immense wings stirred the air just behind Dean. I could hear it without trouble, and the accompanying heartbeat. "You have to kill her," the gruff voice spoke. "Hello Cas," I said pleasantly,"I asked him to when he could and he didn't, so it's too late," Metal sung its light tune as it was unsheathed,"but by all means try." "Cas what the-" Pain ripped through my chest, not enough to warrant a scream but just enough to bring tears to my eyes. "Ouch," I groaned, slowly opening my eyes. Dust swirled in loose tornados disturbed by Castiel's swift movement. He looked in to my eyes with his. They shone an ocean blue, with slate grey depths. "Cas what the hell?!" Dean yelled gripping the angel's coat collar and slamming him against the wall. I looked at the silver blade sticking out of my chest. "Wow, guess I'm lucky that these are real, if they'd been silicon that'd be thousands of dollars down the drain." I grumbled placing my hand around the incredibly smooth hilt of the blade. It's could metal like surface sending chills through my body. I yanked it out swiftly stifling a groan. What would it take to kill me? I went through every possible method of death, finding absolutely nothing. "She has eaten an apple from the sacred Garden of Eden. She has to die, Dean," Cas insisted. "Oh I'd love to, angel-face, but I can't. I've already ran through every scenario of likely death, and no dice." "What are you talking about?"Dean demanded from Cas, but I answered as I sat up in the bed. The weight of my body felt different. My back curved under added weight. "I ate an apple...from the tree of knowledge of good and evil on request from Hades," I spoke looking down at the source of my added weight,"Their bigger," I murmured cupping my breasts. "Wait what?" Dean asked letting Cas go. "My breasts are two cup sizes bigger...My hips are wider also. Ugh evolving to meet anatomical perfection for breeding, as if!" I snorted. "Hold on, hold on, you ate an apple. I thought you were dead! That note-" "When I wrote that note I expected Hades to kill me. Not make me immortal." Sick bastard I was better off dead. "So you were suicidal." "I was dragging you down! You've got other people to look out for! You didn't need me making your life harder. I just wanted your life to be a bit easier." My voice lost volume as I read the expression on his face. His anger crumbled,"Anyway Cas here's your little toy," I sighed as I threw the angel blade to him,"Bye Dean," I called standing from the bed. My movements were severely fluid as I strode to the door. "Mel," Sam called stepping in my way. I glared up at him. "Move, Sam. This is for the best." "You don't even know-" "I know everything. There isn't a thing I don't know. I know what my predicament ensues. So move. Neither of you deserve to be apart of the storm that's coming." "Don't worry-" I flicked my wrist in his direction and Sam stumbled back as if somebody shoved him. "I said move." I spoke my voice dead again. They'd be lucky to be rid of me. Once word gets out that I'm all knowing, there won't be a supernatural being alive that won't want me. They don't need that shit storm. "You're covered in blood you can't walk around like that!" Dean called after me. "I'll be fine." I would be fine. My muscle capacity was 200% better than before, endurance even more than that. As I stepped outside the cold brushed against the places where my skin was bare. The wind against my flesh was an alluring sensation, like ribbons of silk dancing across my skin. My legs locked like a startled colt and I looked around me at the parking lot. Every thing was sharper more defined. Sounds were all encompassing and preserved in a specific part of my mind. As I thought of them they swirled about none of them making sense until I focused on one. "I'll leave her. She's just not good right now. I could lose my kids if I'm not careful." "You say that all the time" this conversation was happening several rooms down from where I stood. To my left at the ending of the building, a more interesting conversation was going on. "Hades said she'd be on the side walk. She's not there," the voice spoke in a fervent whisper. I stalked over to the alleyway, creeping up on the men. "What does Hades want?" I asked glaring at the two. They were an unlikely couple for underworldly endeavours. They both wore custom tailored suits hair. "Shit," one man exclaimed, a fairly stout man, most likely a writer before a demon jumped his bones. He's got a callous on his middle finger. I inhaled the scent of the two. "Yep demons." There was a particular burn to their scent,"Why did Hades send demons after me and you're going to tell me the truth." "He's bidding you off!" The stout man blurted then clamped his hand over his mouth. "And what will happen?" I asked seriously. "How the hell am I supposed to know? It's a bid; they do whatever they want with ya." I nodded. The amount of knowledge I possessed couldn't fall in to the hands of just anyone. I knew the formula to eradicate the world, and how to bring it to its knees. Unfortunately I had a weakness: the Winchesters. "Well we can't allow that," I grumbled, pressing my hands to their foreheads. Their eyes oozed red as I concentrated on their death. These actions were primitive, second nature. I knew exactly what I was capable of and how to do it. "Mel!" Dean called rounding the corner. "Dean you ought to let me leave." I shook my hands out dispelling the dark red ooze from my skin, its warmth was pleasant in a morbid way. "What are you?!" He yelled looking down at the men, then me with unparalleled disgust. "I don't know, Dean...don't look at me that way...I told you to kill me!" I screamed at him. He had no right to look at me that way. He could not be disgusted by me because he allowed for me to live,"I wanted to die, Dean. So don't you go finding me disgusting now." "How did you-" he began then looked at me with unadulterated fear,"Are you even human anymore?" "I am human. I am just a human using all of my brain," I pleaded. Why was I trying to convince him of anything? He'd let me leave if he thought I was a monster. I wanted him to let me leave, but I still wanted him to love me. "Alright," he nodded clenching his jaw,"But you aren't leaving me." "Dean," I began. Honestly, it was illogical to leave him now. I wasn't just some girl anymore. I was the girl with the answer to the universe. It didn't matter if I was with him or not because danger would look for him, because I loved him,"Alright. I'll stay, but only until I find someway to not be the bearer of all this info." I hurried away from his revolted gaze. He couldn't know how much that hurt. His eyes had once held me in an esteem I could not understand. Now they were scared, disgusted, and angry. "Hey, Mel" he called and he grabbed my wrist, which is the most dull way to describe what happened. The warmth of his hand shocked my core. The over sensitive skin there soaking in all of his warmth, and the somewhat rough surface of his palm soothing my skin in the most illogical way. There was a certain relief in his touch, as if I had been in pain. "Yes," I whispered. "Are you still-" "I'm the same girl I was yesterday, just using all of my brain. I promise I won't hurt you, or Sam. I just want to be sure no one uses you against me. You're my weak spot, Freckles, and that means full blown protection." I turned to smile at him. He intertwined his fingers through mine and my body fell a bit weak with shivers. Dean looked at me confused," my senses very...sensitive including touch." A mischievous smirk played across his face,"I might have fun with that later." "Later," I amended,"First we get out of here. I'm set to be auctioned off."
