Temple Guard Pike Replica Update

I just submitted my jedi temple guard metal hilt parts to the University of Arizona to get it machined! They're doing this as part of an outreach program I believe it is called so they're doing this for free in between their main projects.

I'll be getting email updates and it can be done between now and November. I've waited a year and a half so far, I can wait longer. I'm so grateful they're doing this for me and the best part, it's a star wars fan that's doing the machining! ^-^

I’ve been wanting to create my own style lightsaber replica for a while now. But before just jumping in a land speeder and speed away. I decided as sort of a trial, to design and create a streamlined and more simpel replica as a gift for my nephew. 

A plain and pretty straight forward design style was chosen, to keep the project moving fast and keeping it simpel. A simple body, with styled emitter and pommel. (Since I have no experience in lathing, I got help with that since there was basically no time to learn and get this gift done in time.)

The main body was made from a pipe intended for a boat purpose and the black plastic was 3D-printed to add some depth and design to the piece. The main pipe was deliberately left hollow, with the intention to have options to build in electronics for sound. For that, there are two buttons mounted. One for turning it on and off. And a wheel for eventual volume.
