{For Luo Mo} ❛ don’t bear the burden alone, okay? ❜
This, he knew.
He knew he shouldn’t.
But after recalling everything that had been but vague memories for all those months he spent with the younger man after being released from his prison within the hellfire forge cave (or, that was what people called it when they were mentioning his ‘legend’), it was hard for Luo Mo to not have an heavy conscience.
To remember the death of someone so dear to him;
To remember the rage, the grief and how ablaze he had set the land..
It was painful to remember everything so suddenly. Exhaling sharply, the half-demon glanced up, half-lid gaze from mismatched eyes. For someone like him, it would have been better if he didn’t recall it, but it was what made him who he was. It was his regret and what earned him to be imprisoned but he learned. He learned that taking a single thing out on everything was not something he should have done.
Yes, he knew he was at fault.
He knew that they were, too.
But to have brought every single living being in this country into it just because he was sinking into his grief over Xiao Feng’s death? This was where he had been wrong to do so.
And with having Shen Liang with him for those times where he simply remember nothing (not even his name), it made him a better person in the end. Although, still a bit the same as he was in the past.
A sigh left his lips as hands lifted up before they rested upon the other’s waist, soon pulling him closer after a moment. Hands would move once again before he wrapped his arms around the smaller man’s waist, burying his face against his shoulder.
“..I try to.” He murmured, closing his eyes. “But can you blame me when my past haunts me to the point that I cannot find sleep at night?” Luo Mo then pulled himself away before looking up into Shen Liang’s blue eyes, eyebrows furrowing.
“Can you blame me for wanting to keep all of this to myself so that the me that everyone knows does not exist anymore?”
