Sakuya stumbled when she was blinded. “Ah! What the hell!” She still couldn’t see for a good couple of seconds when they had arrived. Sakuya froze when she heard a the voices of many people. Oh no. Just where had Nor taken her? Sakuya was hoping that she had taken her to a place filled with youkai and that’s who she heard talking, but after recognizing the accents of the people who spoke her blood turned cold.

Was she? She couldn’t be. No, she was. She was back in her homeland, or at least some place scarily similar to it.

Sakuya was as stiff as a board and wouldn’t say a word. She nervously and rapidly moved her eyes all around her to look at the people all around her. Humans. There were too many. Even more than she’s used to when making shopping trips to the human village. Sakuya placed her left hand on her thigh as if she desperately wanted to draw a knife, but couldn’t.

Long after night had fallen, the princess finally decided to retire to her bedroom to turn in for the evening. Being a bit of a night owl, Kaguya often liked to stay up for a while to admire the beauty of the night sky. After shedding her dress and switching to her nightgown, she slid into her futon and fell asleep almost immediately.

But some time later, she would be awoken by a bright light shining through her window. She rubbed her eyes, still feeling groggy, and was somewhat bewildered.

“What the... Did I seriously sleep that long??” Her window faced to the west, so she didn’t get direct sunlight in her room until the afternoon. But despite being a bit of a late riser, she almost never slept past mid-day. And what’s more, she felt like she hardly got any rest at all! Just what was going on?

In a huff, she got out of bed and marched over to the window to take a peek outside.
