“I can’t believe you fell for it Arthur.”
“Well, you know me, Lewis. My luck always seems to drop me into bad situations!”
“You can’t really be okay saying yes though can you?!I bet that if something were to happen to you, they’d end up hurt too. Grief is a very powerful I assure you. Besides, assuming the worse could actually happen— and it won’t because I will make sure they CLOCK OUT BEFORE ANY HARM IS DONE THANK YOU— it wouldn’t be your fault but the creature’s alone. Besides,if you do carry out this dumb, can you truly say your friends won’t end up attempting to do the same to save you in return?Think about it!”
“.......I know. I know you’re right and I just- I just don’t want you to be. Everyone is right it’s just so- it’s so.....it’s hard.” He finished lamely, and rubbed at his forehead, an oncoming migraine threatening to split it.
“Arthur, I swear on all that is holy and good if you even consider doing a dumb I will turn this clock around and knock some sense in to you myself.” Oh and now he is throwing a clock at the gray face and hissing loudly
“HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BE OKAY SAYING NO? If something happens it’s all my fault!”
⚡️What’s something you regret deeply? ((This was what I meant to do shhh)
“.....I came onto Arthur a couple of months ago. He turned me down, which-- that’s fine. It stung, sure, and it confused me because I’d been sure that he-- Well, I was wrong on that count. And it’s fine that he doesn’t feel that way.”
“But he got so upset over it, and... I don’t know why. I didn’t think I came on strong enough to evoke that kind of reaction, and he swore that he wasn’t upset at me, but I still just don’t understand it. It felt like it wasn’t just an awkward situation but that I’d hurt him, and I don’t know how or what I can do to fix it.”
“Things are fine now; it was weird between us for a little while but thankfully they’re okay again and it didn’t drive a wedge between us. But still... It probably would have been better for me to just not have said anything to begin with.”
✧
I would kill you. ✧ I would physically hurt you. ✧ I would attack you unprovoked. ✧ I would manipulate you. ✧ I dislike you. ✧ You annoy me. ✧ You scare me. ✧ You intimidate me. ✧ I hope I intimidate you. ✧ I pity you. ✧ You disgust me. ✧ I hate you. ✧ I’m indifferent toward you. ✧ I’d like to get to kno--
...
“....Hey, do I-- do I know you from somewhere? Like, have we met before? You look... sort of familiar but I can’t-- I can’t quite place you, I’m really sorry.”
“I’m Vivi, by the way, just in case we haven’t actually met before.”
"You know, when someone says they have a question you probably shouldn't tell people to hit you. You'd be surprised how many people out there take it literally." And he'd know. You don't get to go around dealing with time stuff without meeting a few, uh... Less than sanies.
“Oh?” Arthur smirked, raising an eyebrow and brushing back his hair. “You never know; I might like that~.” His smile embodied a catlike sense of mischief, and he tapped on his chin, eyelids lowering as he leaned a touch closer.
"Arthur, my watch doesn't seem to be working right. Can you see if it is the batter-- Dios mio! Why are there two of you??" Now staring at the two, Clockwork rubs at his eyes. How long had it been since he slept again? Must have been a while because he is seeing double!
Both Arthurs looked towards the voice as a knock sounded at the door and Lewis- not just any Lewis, but the one they’d met in the park and helped fix the watch of- appeared before them. The one near the fridge had a dish in hand and offered him a bright smile and a cheery wave before moving his plate to the microwave. The other one was just leaning into the couch. The most he offered was a smile so slight, that it easily could have been the angle his head was at to see Clockwork, rather than one that had actually graced his features.
“Clockwork!” The one removed whatever it was from the microwave- a tub of macaroni- and grabbed two forks. “Come over to the table! I’ll fix your watch- and you should eat some with me!”
