imagine a fanfic where james and regulus were dating all throughout high school and a little bit into their young adult life, and then they break up. (DUN DUN DUNN!) after this, regulus tries to move on but james gets famous & shit so he can’t even go on a train without seeing a poster of james face. this leads to a messy messy situation, of regulus getting with james’ lookalikes in hopes of being reunited with his ‘one true love’.

I absolutely adore your posts and meta. After finishing the game, it’s such a treat to get to stay with them through all the fan works (because I am so not ready to let go) and your work is such a big part of this - I really love the dissection of dialogue and how you fill in the gaps (that are there! And ask to be filled in! But I’m not the best at doing so myself), so when I read it I can’t help but think YES that’s what was there and I felt it but I didn’t have words for it myself. So all this just to say thank you for being here and for sharing!!! It means a lot and it makes a difference.

Honestly I've read so much amazing meta come out of this fandom already and a large part of me at times feels like missing the first wave of fandom (being an OG KCD fan kind of got me so used to there... not... being a fandom... I was a fool) means that I'm risking just repeating points others have made already, so hearing that other people are enjoying my at times insane tinfoil ramblings honestly makes me super happy 🥹❤️ especially because I'll be writing one meta post and ideas for ten more will pop up while I'm doing it!!!

An interesting observation between these two is that if Newt has a tasty snack and Toto is interested in that snack then Toto will approach Newt as close as he can get before Newt starts giving him a hard stare. At this distance Toto will then do a half shuffle away and then sit there right on the edge of Newts comfort zone and pretend to eat? He’ll lift his foot up to his face then grind his beak to make the fake sounds of eating a snack.

I’m not entirely sure what his game plan is here, make Newt feel bad that he’s exclusively eating air to make Newt share or, more likely, just make Newt feel like he’s not coming to steal his resource by pretending to have his own food.

Either way it’s not a mannerism I have personally observed before!
