I feel like Marinette is being presumptuous here. What if Adrien doesn't want her to comfort him after she confesses to lying to him about something so major? Adrien will be raw from this and unless he has the trusting nature of a newborn kitten, he'll have to be distrustful of Marinette moving forward. I'd be shocked if they stayed together, like I fully expect (and hope tbh) they break up. I think Marinette needs a break from from him and vice versa.

He's not a little baby bird that needs her protection, he's a teenage boy with full autonomy and terrible trauma that needs a damn break from all the manipulation.

Plus, as I've seen mentioned since the season started, she will only be able to confess a portion of the truth. That will still KILL her on the inside, just knowing too much and not being able to say without jeopardizing your whole identity. Like girl PLEASE give yourself a goddamn break and spend time a part! Time can be the best medicine sometimes.
