This is about what makes my portrayal of Moxxie unique from others. It's important to me. For those who haven't read yet.

See *DISCLAIMER: I know a lot of the fandom doesn’t take Moxxie all that seriously. Blaming s1 for that. But one writer to the other, at least understand I care about the character that I write the same way you care about yours. I’m not saying your character can’t be mean to mine. I encourage that when it’s IC for yours! But understand that one character hurting another is going to have consequences on the plot. Moxxie isn’t a joke. He is a character. I’ll count godmodding as godmodding. Even if the show drops the ball sometimes.
Orientation: Bisexual ("Bi-flexible", he's had sex with people who are probably not strictly on the binary but he considers himself attracted to men and women)
Gender: he/him. don't let the cross-dressing fool you
Personality
"Moxie" means "fighting spirit" and "know-how". And Moxxie lives up to his name. If you judge by surface and superficial traits maybe you wouldn't see those traits. Unfortunately, Hell is a superficial place that does not value things beyond surface appearance, and especially when packaged with anything that wears its heart on its sleeve. Moxxie can come off as nagging and annoying too, to those who can't keep up intellectually or who don't realize he's on their side when he's trying to improve a situation in his own way. He's intellectually playful and sometimes competitive but it's usually in a jesting manner. Difficult to read for those who don't know him, mistaken for snobby or aloof. He holds himself and others to a higher standard than what Hell has set for everyone. Moxxie is more than he first appears.
background
Raised by a mafia mob boss, Moxxie's mother was murdered by his father at an extremely young age so Moxxie's father could raise him to be a cold-blooded killer. Somehow that managed to backfire and now one of Moxxie's hard rules is not to kill children and to avoid taking out families where possible. Being a hellborn with a home-grown conscience makes him somewhat of an anomaly among the ultra-violent Wrath-spawned imps. But his penchant for subversive disobedience, questioning authority, and going against the grain might speak to a different kind of defiance that makes him an underdog in a place with the kind of values as Hell.
Canon-divergence [ more info in general, in the ABOUT link]
-Moxxie has floppy goat ears (see illustration) and a fluffy white pelt. Think satyrs and fauns. He gets this from his mother's side. Some have guessed it might be baphomet traits. But it could be a sub-species of imp. I haven't said for sure.
Moxxie was imprisoned quite a bit longer before Blitz showed up to join him and help break him out and it was extra rough for him.
Moxxie and Millie are in a happily open marriage (meaning sexually they have other partners, but communicate with one another about this)
Moxxine was and has been his drag persona for a long time. And when he is in Hell he has access to a full wardrobe and make-up for pulling off the look much better. (I even named her Moxxine before “Unhappy Campers” aired.
Moxxie was home-schooled and didn't have much social interaction with peers his own age growing up.
Lines I Have to Draw
[tw ahead. mention SA b/c HB's shit writing, sorry. just a "dni" because ppl on tumblr have been militant when I said I don't want to see some things...]
Don't interact: If you write a Verosika who SA'd Moxxie like she did in Canon ("Spring Broken"). It makes me uncomfortable, and I don't think I have to explain why. I get tired of everyone only caring about the Blitz and Verosika part of the whole thing. The point is, Moxxie was turned into a prop. They turned a character (a person) into a prop. Listen, R*pe and abuse ain't a joke. Same goes for the goons (succubi/incubi) she had with her who helped. (No it wasn't "just a kiss". They turned into monsters and jumped him, and Blitz said "Don't let her near any of your holes") If your Verosika is canon-diverg and didn't do this, then disregard this.
Don't interact: If You write any character who is going to use r*pe as a joke. Just block me or w/e. I'm not down with that.
No, Moxxie is not a "push-over" for the times others have hurt him. Being pushed over makes him the victim of bullying. Bullies should be shamed, not the victims. The HH/HB community needs to remember the show takes place in Hell and stop going along with the weird/gross jokes. If it's his mannerisms that have you thrown off, look up fawning trauma response.
I don't acknowledge the April Fools "It's Chaz Funeral" short. It wasn't funny to me. And it's upsetting to me that M & M were made to face their abuser as a joke. The cast white knighting a character that the canon told us royally screwed over Moxxie in a majorly traumatic way turned Moxxie into the butt of a joke again. So don't approach me with it.
If I.M.P. acts unreasonably mean like they did in S1 of HB, there will be serious plot consequences. I happen to find some of that writing to be shitty and blame it for priming the fandom to hate/not care about Moxxie as a character. (ex: Blitz spraying Mox with piss would be inexcusable now. As alternate verses like “Solo Weapons Specialist” show, Moxxie is more than capable of finding his own way without I.M.P.)
To me, Unhappy Campers is very much canon. (Not apologizing. It's about toxic perfectionism, toxic procrastination, dissociation and Moxxie probably not having been socialized around other kids. And with how Moxxie was raised it makes 100% sense. I don’t agree with the majority of fandom’s take on it, that’s just the short on it. If you play any of the Muses in the ep and need something altered, plot with me.
