Eh, to be honest I straight-up don't enjoy the series. I was so-so on it because it's exhausting reading all the characters hating each other and nothing good ever happening. And then I got to the reveal about giving the Autistic kid superpowers having caused him to destroy the world, and my NOPE threshold was officially crossed.

I’m not saying the show doesn’t make onion “creepy” on purpose but tbh after working w autistic kids (as an autistic person myself)—onion is just.....a neurodivergent child.

Idk I think being able to interact w these kids as an adult has helped me jus? Understand them better

Onion isn’t intentionally trying to be “creepy” (most of the time—I don’t doubt he would also like getting rises out of ppl) and he’s not actively malicious. He’s just. A kid w particular interests and mannerisms. Lots of autistic kids seem creepy or weird like that but once you get to know them and learn them as individuals they’re just kids
