Not to smite post but like I really wish that hirez didn’t make all the egyptian goddesses white. Like they should probably fix that?? It’s 2020 I feel like saying that the egyptians weren’t light-skinned blue eyed white people isn’t a controversial statement.
#smite#hirez#Like literally all three of the egyptian goddesses are so white washed it isn't funny#There are only a few other circumstances where hirez was kinda inaccurate culture-wise#but in those times it was funny and light hearted#like Chaac having an overexaggerated french accent cause his name sounds like jaques#or Athena having a heavy russian accent#Yeah I get there are probably bigger things to worry about rn but man#every so often I think of smite again after not playing it for years and get mad about this again#and this isn't meant to totally slam hirez either#they've put in a lot of effort to add a lot of gods into the game from different religions and cultures#like voodoo#polynesian#yoruba#and that's great progress#but that doesn't change the fact that this is pretty apparent racism
