Drowned Ambitions; or why my game is an even bigger Scyllinoë shipper than me, somehow.

So, as we all know, Circe has a couple of conversations with Melinoë regarding Scylla that culminate in this exchange:

After 10+ runs in the surface trying to defeat Typhon with the Sister Blades in 16 Fear (and doing so with a specific set of challenges), I got the Athena dialogue about using the Gorgon Amulet to talk to Arachne, so I decided to head on down and kill two birds with one stone.

So. I defeated Hecate, right?

I put on Circe’s keepsake to be extra silly with the mission, right?

I got to Oceanus, right?

Well... I kid you not, just like all the other times I spent 10+ runs topside, Scylla is singing Song of the Pearls.

She is going to sing Bewitching Eyes during the boss fight while I’m doing Drowned Ambitions. This means that Melinoë’s not going to curse her after having heard Bewitching Eyes.

THAT. IS. SO. DAMN. GAY.

Like. Seriously.

I am crying.

I am fucking crying.

The only way this can get any more perfect is if Scylla’s dying line is “But... did you like... the song...?” WHICH WOULD FUCKING KILL ME.

Edit: unfortunately she didn’t. She wanted me to leave her a good review, which, duh, babygirl, I always do <3

What makes this even funnier is that I have a whole damn AU that revolves around Melinoë actually cursing Scylla and later regretting it, which kickstarts a redemption arc + enemies to lovers slowburn where she learns about Scylla’s past with Circe and Glaucus and how the original curse was totally unfair, and in that AU SCYLLA SINGS BEWITCHING EYES IN THAT FIGHT TOO.

Though, admittedly, she sings it for the first time whilst Melinoë’s using Circe’s staff and keepsake, which makes the whole thing even more tragic, but eh, details details.
