I feel like even if shiv didn't betray kendall, someone else in the boardroom would have tried to change their vote, and I wonder if it would've been stewy. he stood there pacing, watching those kids scream and attack and wrestle each other to the ground. and it's nothing new, of course, stewy has sat and watched that happen for 30 years, but maybe he thought that with logan gone, it could be different. he wasn't businessman or future chairman stewy in that moment, he was kendall's best friend stewy, cursed to watch his meltdown again and again.

I just finished it, and Normal People, the show, is a really excellent adaptation of the book, and both are lovely and devastating.
