as much as i have mixed / negative opinions on the death of the new gods comic, i think the idea of scott finally succumbing to the equation after years because of the grief of his lost wife--and the death of all of his people--is so interesting. i would kill to be able to write scott during that time period, or in a situation where he is tempted by the equation because!! he has it! he's had it! and it is written explicitly to be something that consumes, that addicts, it is control in a pot of cosmic discord.
