I’m always out here like “well the part of the US that i grew up in is very liberal and a lot of the really scary stereotypes aren’t as much of a thing here” and like. that is true, actually. which makes it all the more alarming that going through my old elementary school papers that my mom saved inevitably leads me to find assignments that scream “raised in a nationalist colonizer cult”
