likeaghosttome reblogged your video: my friend sent me this video. and as amazing is it...
All I could think the whole time was, “Why does it matter if she has brown hair?” If she can play the part well, it shouldn’t matter that she doesn’t fit your personal idea of what the character should look like.
it's not my personal idea though...
cinderella has blonde hair
Do you wear make-up? I wear foundation everyday, and wear eyeliner most days. The foundation is to cover certain...blemishes, and the eyeliner makes my eyes pop behind my thick glasses. I'll wear eyeshadow fairly often as I have lots of pretty colors that I like to match to my clothes. Makeup makes me feel pretty, so I very much like wearing it. I've also, like many other responders, worn makeup for plays and such. :)
I used to wear cover-up every day, but since I get up at 6 now to be ready for work by 7(where I adhere spine and barcode labels to books and really don't have to impress anyone with the way I look) I just don't take the time to do it.
Make-up can be fun, but I think it more often than not makes a person stand out. And for the majority of my life my mentality has centered around being as invisible, unobtrusive, and as inoffensive as possible whether it was a conscious decision or not. I only really take the time to put on make-up (fun make-up like eyeliner, shadow, mascara) when I feel really good about myself and want to stand out, be visible.
And one of the things I like best about this RQT is that it's making me think about my relationship with make-up and the way I decorate my body. That self-awareness can only be a good thing.
