If you can buy a streaming pass on your own MelOn ID, of course that is the best way to support B’s release activities! MelOn has made it a pain in the a$$ for ifans to use, but some groups offer proxy pass purchases that should help (see this tweet from @BBHGlobalUnion, for example).
When streaming, the key is perseverance. If you also download the song file (which in itself is recommended if your pass allows it!), make sure you erase the download from your app (see how) before you continue streaming. Otherwise your app will just play the saved cache and the play will not count as a realtime stream.
MelOn has been fiddling with its chart system, so that it will be ‘frozen’ in the dawn hours (1AM to 7AM KST) and activity during that time will not immediately reflect on the charts. So even if you don’t see the song shoot up the charts overnight, don’t worry and keep on streaming!
1. UNUSED MELON IDS 😴😴
@LIKEBLIKEMUSIC is collecting unused MelOn IDs that you won’t be using for streaming yourself. If you have an old MelOn ID sitting around without a pass, and you’re comfortable sharing it, please submit it. It’s okay if it isn’t an ‘authorized’ ID (i.e., you didn’t authorize it with a Korean phone), just mark it as unauthorized and they’ll find a way to use it. Don’t log in to the ID yourself while support is ongoing. Translation of entry form provided below.
