yeah i’m gonna post this bc people keep asking me
i went to the beauty supply and got:
2 boxes of 8n/811 wella dye
2 20oz bottles of 30 developer
a bucket of basic white bleach
to dye it i:
to dye your hair with wella/most dyes you get at a beauty supply you put the color in the bowl then fill the bottle the dye was in with whatever level developer you’re using twice, box dyes come with 10 volume peroxide usually which is why sometimes your hair refuses to lift/you get hot roots where they’re one color and the rest of your hair is a different color all together to avoid that/lift your color a lot you need a stronger developer but you also have to be really careful your hair doesn’t break off u can get 8g dye to bring out the golden undertones but i just did 8n bc it brings out whatever undertones u have in my case i have red ones ergo the amber base color
SO ANYWAY put that all over my head for 35 minutes
then to dilute the developer you mix it with water so i reduced 30 down to about a 10 to do most of the highlights throughout my hair with good ol’ tinfoil except for in the front where i didn’t reduce the developer bc i wanted it very blonde
then i chopped it all off and here i am
