It’s been forever since I posted a new fanart here and I’m glad I finally had the time to do this one <3 I absolutely love this picture of Liz and the eerie atmosphere to it and I’ve been wanting to draw it ever since I saw it!  Hope you enjoy :) (Also taking advantage of my new scanner who does so well with color pencils!!)  Also, a little reminder that I’m still taking commissions :) All the informations here or via DM :)

Ok so i know i already made a post about how absolutely amazing elizabeth henstridge was this ep. but i dont think we realise just how many phenomenal directorial choices she made that made this ep sooo special!!

Take this:

The symmetry of the shot is a perfect summary to the duo dynamic that Coulson and Daisy share and their centered positions add comedic effect through directness!!

Also this:

So here the camera actually turns with Enoch’s head turn establishing this ‘Enoch vs. The Team’ dynamic and dividing the team into sides through giving the audience a peek at his perspective & how his actions (and the camera) are halted by the rest of the team!! —and all this through one camera movement!!! im sO IMPRESSEDDDD

And of course:

See how the camera follows Daisy’s movements smoothly moving up from a medium shot of her to a closeup of the two (instead of cutting between the shots as is most often done) This. Is. Powerful. Shit because it perfectly conveys just how soft and gentle daisy’s movements & the kiss is!! Instead of being flung into a closeup, we are invited in to enter the space through movement which is what makes this so intimate and organic aAHHHH!!!!

Have i mentioned i love this show and i cannot believe this is lil’s debut as director because all these small choices are sO. ADVANCED!!?? Like i dont think we realise just how important each one of these directing/production/editing choices is?!! Its because of these details that we we get this stunning cinematography that, instead of being a means to show a story, actually intertwines with the story to reveal dynamics and relationships!!

Conclusion?

I’ve said it before but i’ll say it again: give elizabeth henstridge a fucking gold medal pls (maybe a couple of oscars while you’re at it..)
