A single ray of light made its way across a bedroom of pink and lace. A small figure was sleeping peacefully upon a small bed. Her size would leave one to assume she was still a child, 16 at most. But they would be wrong. She wasn't human, never had been. She was metal, wires, and silicone created in human form. David had called her Liinx, her job was nothing more than to replace his daughter that had died suddenly the year before. He was still in the process of teaching her the ways of man when he himself vanished. Now Liinx was left alone, to fend for herself and to learn how the world worked all on her own.
As the sun crept across her face her nose twitched and she raised her hand to block it from her eyes. She didn't want to be awake yet, she wanted to stay in her dreams where David was. Reluctantly she opened her eyes, her icy blue orbs looked around her room and she frowned. She knew she had to go into town today for food.. and she also knew that soon she would have to leave this house. The landlord would be coming soon for money and she had no way of paying. But she pushed that back for now. She would take on one task at a time, So swinging her feet off the edge of her bed she stretched out her arms and arched her back. Food. Food was first. If she went into town now she would have less possibility of running into crowds.
