@luna-mxth starter for no damn reason at all
As much as he didn't want to get into trouble for it, or possibly get kicked out of the Inquisition...it was time to admit something. The most recent letter he got from Samson was worrying and, while they were kind of friends—he thought, hoped—he couldn't keep quiet about it now. Something was wrong.
So he knocked on the door of Sontna's room and quietly let himself in. The letters felt heavy in his pocket as he ascended the stairs.
Once he reached the top, he paused to stare at her, worrying away at his gloves and fingers before he finally forced himself to step in further and move to her desk.
"I...have a confession to make." He swallowed nervously and started pulling out the letters, fumbling with shaking hands and dropping them onto her desk. Maker, he was going to die for this or be locked up. "I've been talking to Samson. Was. He just wrote to me saying that he was ending our communication."
One of the letters fell to the floor as he was pulling them out of his pocket and he scrambled to catch it. He didn't manage it, and had to bend over to grab it.
"Um, he...he won't listen," he mumbled, standing back up, his voice ending in almost a question. He looked like he might cry, eyes damp; Cole quickly rubbed them away before they could spill. "S-sorry. I-I just...I'm worried."
