Top Songs of the Week (1st April)
Happy Qingming Festival everyone! That's 'Tomb Sweeping' day for those of you who aren't aware. It's a time to visit, remember, and honour your ancestors. Often done by visiting their graves and offering gifts of food, wine, and often, money. This Qingming you can also enjoy the five tracks I've picked out for you this week. Here we go.
Plested - Habits
London's Plested deliver my favourite track of the week, a guitar strewn love song that is reminiscent of London Grammar. Increibly hypnotic vocals and heartbreaking lyrics. A little bit in love with this one.
"I'm never gonna break, your heart".
Sody - Let Go
We've posted about Sody before when she released her collab with Martin Luke Brown, 'Wasted Youth', last year. What we didn't know is that she's only 16! Blimey. So in the vein of Lorde (once apon a time), and Billie Eilish, don't take your eyes off this young woman, as with Let Go she's proven she's not going anywhere.
Joo young - Sweet Life
We posted about Joo Young already earlier this year, and we're super stoked to hear new music from him, keeping with the slow soulful vibes that we're loved in his prev track, 'Lucy'.
Lil Otto - Bands
Here we have a new track from up and coming artist, Lil Otto, who just released an EP featuring the above track. We don't really know who or what Lil Otto is, apart from potentially the red power ranger, so not much going on here. The track seaks for itself, and we're keen to see where this goes.
Rationale - Deliverance
Didn't we just post something about this guy? After just finishing off his last EP, Rationale is already back with a brand new track, 'Deliverance'. A nother soulful slow one that once again showcases his vocals front and center.
