Different person here, but with the whole Jess situation in my playthru, I did everything right, but "failed to impress her under pressure" according to the butterfly effect screen. What do I have to do to impress her?
What exactly did you do with her? I think if you failed to impress her then you pretty much hit every wrong nail that you didn’t want to hit, she probably stayed in her clothes?
To impress her, be kind, be considerate to what she likes and pick the choices that best reflect that. Be heroic, jump down into the mine to help her when she falls, don’t scare her, pick the flirty options, help her up when she trips outside the cabin, comfort the deer, don’t aim the gun at her if you pick it up. Simple stuff will lead to the butterfly effect stating “Jessica was a pushover!” and she’ll have been very impressed with Mike.
Interestingly this will lead you to see how dishonest Mike is being by being a good guy, my first playthrough I picked all the right options for her and his honesty plummeted to the bottom.
