Apparently I have gotten the kitchen staff to like me, they've finally let me in and poke around all the things they have, and now I get to spend today helping out, color me excited.

“No, no, you have to actually taste it. Smelling doesn’t count,” Bella said, handing Lila the spoon she’d fished out of a drawer. “There are things that smell great but taste awful. How will I ever know if you can’t tell me if it’s good?”

"i'm not trying to be a bitch, okay? it'd be great if you didn't jump down my throat right now." lila muttered as she walked by them, setting her bag and keys down on the counter, leaning her palms against the cold surface. "i worked late, i didn't mean to keep you waiting, but my phone died, so i couldn't text you and i couldn't find my charger this morning." with a sigh, the redhead pushed some hair out of her face letting out a sigh to prepare for the fight. "and before you start, no i was not with anyone else, don't even start that, okay?" the last thing she wanted to do was fight but that was all they had been doing lately, so it didn't seem likely that it would be avoided. "can't we just have dinner and a chill night like we planned, please?"

“you’re asking her to marry you?” lila asked, shocked as she looked down at the ring, the box laid in her hand all snug. from there she forced a smile even though it was fake, she was trying to be happy for them, they were her best friend after all. “that… that is awesome, and a really great christmas gift.” still shocked, she looked back to them, then to the ring. “congratulations.” she faked a smile, reaching up to pull them into a hug, hoping it was convincing. wow, this hurt way more than she thought it was going too.
After two weeks in the infirmary, pretty sure this infection in my hand is good enough for people to leave me alone.
I swear if one more person pokes at me in the infirmary I might actually throw something, it's getting annoying, I've gained weight since being here, stop being so intrusive.
