† it’s quite difficult to ascertain the reason she’s observing him, for he doesn’t think of his appearance, nor his behavior as abnormal. he isn’t doing anything particularly remarkable or outlandish at the moment ( a rarity for him ), so he’s left to assume it has something to do with his looks. to be fair, he IS carrying a large weapon wrapped in cloth on his back, but she has no way of knowing what it is.
actually, that’s probably exactly why she’s watching him. anyone would look at such a foreign object with suspicious eyes, especially considering the scale of it. not only that, but he’s opted to don his churchman attire for the evening, as he does when he goes out at night. surely, anyone would take one look at his clothes and wonder about them, considering there was no church in sight here.
of course, these thoughts are fleeting -- gone as quick as they come. he’s never been one to pick up on when or why others are thrown off by him, after all, so he really doesn’t know why he’s being stared at. there’s no harm in asking though, so that’s exactly what he’ll do. he offers her one of his signature dazzling smiles and cants his head to the side, tone unperturbed.
