luther's "love shouldn't have to hurt this much" to lila is one of my favorite luther moments. the implications!!! the acceptance he's made in his own journey to let his father go!! he's starting to heal and he's ready to hold her hand while she does too! seeing so much of himself in lila and wanting to save her and bring her into the family because he knows what it's like to feel all alone when the pedestal breaks, and she doesn't deserve it!! she just kicked his + his family's ass and all he wants to do is tell her she's okay and she has a family right there with them!! this was the friendship i was waiting for, the friendship i deserved, the friendship they desperately needed! they would understand each other so well and see so much of themselves in the other and where was my bestie formation!?
