since I'm getting back into his save I will answer for Kory Hartley:

his mother is a serial killer. his father is a former magic realm sage who got serial killed. love loses <3

when he was a teenager he was your honest to god typical nerd. then I thought "no...he shall be a himbo." and here we are today

his favourite music act is Twice, because he has taste

his save is me experimenting with Adult ModsTM for more or less the first time, so it's all pretty new to me. hence why my globetrotter is significantly spicier than all of my other content lol

I actually intended to play a legacy with him! technically, Penny; he was gen 2. I even finished playing his generation and got to the birth of his daughter. then the save went to corruption hell and I just wasn't attached enough to salvage it.

Not a question, I just needed to let you know how much I adore Regan's new haircut. And her growth in general. She has come so far! Look at her go!

Ahh yes, it’s so cute! I’ve always wanted her to have short hair tbh, but then I noticed most of my female heirs (at the time when I was figuring out her adult appearance) had short hair haha. But I couldn’t resist in the end.

And yes, she’s come so far...I know I’m the one writing it, but it doesn’t feel like it, if that makes sense. It’s like she did it all on her own, not with my “writing help” or anything, and I’m just watching her and am incredibly proud. I like it when the characters make me feel that way.

It makes me laugh. My friends and I have a snapchat group and we’ve all been playing and updating each other on what’s going on and all of us were complaining about waiting. Well, except for one friend who decided he’s going to be time traveling so he’s currently like 2 or 3 weeks ahead of us in real time.

Thanks! I’m really excited to see what the house will look like as I continue to expand it. :) The picnic basket is just DARLING. And I love that we can put furniture outside in this version of the game. You can bet I’m going to make some cute areas on my island!

Oh my gosh, thank you! Non-autonomous platonic classic dancing! That’s so neat! It’s exactly what both my sleep-mad and my waking self wanted.

I did not expect to get such helpful responses about this or my whole road/terrain dilemma! Clearly I need to be more proactive about putting my Sim-related wants out there, because this community is rad.

Maybe! There are a bunch of elaborate horse-specific TS3 sites out there, where folks bred horses in game and then “sold” them via these sites and such. From what I’ve seen from dates on blog entries on such sites, it seems the craze for them seemed to have died around 2015, so I guess because of TS4? Of course, TS4 doesn’t have horses, so I don’t know why such folks abandoned TS3. I mean, the whole setup between those sites was (is?) pretty intense and impressive...

ANYWAY! I actually did look around and PharoahHound on MTS made a Gypsy Vanner breed template. It doesn’t have a mane down to its hocks and feathers up to its hocks and a tail that drags on the ground behind it, but maybe such CC exists out there....

It’s a very handsome face, but what noticed first were the eyes! I never played TS3 much because I couldn’t make my sims look good, or more accurately, they way I wanted. Maybe I’ll try it again. ��

You definitely need a lot of stuff to de-pudding TS3 Sims! Like, better-looking skins and lots of custom sliders, for instance. (Fortunately, there are a million of the latter out there!) Even lighting mods help. And for eyes you definitely need some contacts. It's not like TS2 where you can drop in some defaults and/or a set of custom eyes and everyone has nice-looking eyes because -- at least so far as I've found -- default eyes for TS3 still don't look all that great. Like, I haven't found one with a sclera I like. They all seem to me too flat and white, with none of the details that I like. I’m guessing there are technical limitations involved. Defaults are better than the Maxis eyes, so I still use them, but not as good as I’d really like.

So, contacts are the way to go. Most of them that are recolorable have three or four color channels, one for the sclera of the eye and two (or three) for the iris, so you can blend colors in the iris to get some really nice realistic (or fantastical, if that's how you swing :) ) effects. I'm still figuring out how to get really good effects, but in general it's way more customizable than TS2. Of course, it's also more work on the player's part. Especially if you take it upon yourself to put contacts on everyone in a world. So, you know, pros and cons. :)

So, if you want to give TS3 a shot, the best contacts I've found are made by @simtanico here. I haven't tried out all of them, but I really like the "Herald" and "Nordstrom" ones. (I used the former on the Sim in the pic.) And you'll definitely want sliders for iris size, pupil size, and the various ones that affect the overall size of the eyeball and amount of sunkenness, etc.

I use Hat's religion mod, so a lot of behaviours are banned. I do miss the drama, though!

This...actually explains everything. My original MCC had religion. I took the mod out because I was having so many issues with it, but my game was definitely a lot more peaceful when I had it.
