I suddenly feel the need to gush about my oc, Lilly Grayson, because I've been having Ideas and I'm proud of my mess of a child.
She's a wanted ex-bounty hunter with a parasitic shadow demon in her head and a cybernetic right leg. She lost her planet (an alternate version of Earth) at the tender age of nine, was raised by a bounty hunter mom who was killed when she was nineteen, made a deal with a shadow demon to escape imprisonment and save her bounty hunter mom (but arrived too late to prevent her death) and is traveling the world to find a way to break the contract she made with said shadow demon before it consumes her soul. She's so, so, traumatized and rarely smiles but has a bone-dry sense of humor and a fondness for puns. She does her best to do the right thing when she can, but there's a darkness in her, drawn out when innocent lives are threatened or those she loves are in danger. She has a hard time forming attachments but once she does, she's loyal to a fault.
Her reluctant-acquaintance-to-best-friend-to -maybe-romantic-partner is Matt, a softboi from our version of Earth who ended up on the same alien planet as Lilly because he fell through a sort of wormhole while spelunking after an earthquake. I haven't fleshed him out much yet, but so far he's all smiles and optimism (and occasional devastating emotional breakdowns due to The HorrorsTM). He sometimes struggles with the language and cultural differences of the alien planet where the story takes place, but he tries his best as he treks across the world looking for a way to get home.
These two get thrown together by circumstance and have a rough start, but they end up quite close by the end. If any romance makes it into the story, it will probably just be implied (as in no on-screen kissing or what not). If they do end up together, it will be after the main narrative; I mostly want to showcase how they grow to be friends.
