RIP to you for all the ppl in your inbox blatantly misunderstanding your point......we're mad because kalki koechlin keeps getting roles for being white. Like she isn't that talented, she isn't that pretty, but she keeps getting to be in movies for being white. And then everyone praises her for having all these "groundbreaking" or "important" roles like in Margarita w/ A Straw or whatever. And then she has the gall to claim that she's oppressed for being white in India....I just have to laugh!!!

the best book I’ve read lately was Circe which you recc’d to me, so there’s not much point reccing it back!! 😜 the only other things I’ve been reading very recently are books abt energy security and the minecraft wiki, n I doubt ur overly interested in either of those

I am really looking forward to reading Internment by Samira Ahmed after my exam!! it’s about a future America where Muslims are put in internment camps and the young female protag basc leads the revolution against it. a lot of top reviews seem to run along the lines of ‘great message, not so great writing quality’ but I’m ready to make up my own mind!

OKAY WELL SORT OF KINDA NOT REALLY. ISH.

Book six of the TREE Series (six out of seven) focuses on the Oceanic division. Each book focuses on the creatures and workers of different divisions, and six is the watery, oceanic section of that.

This includes nymphs, mermaids (riverland and different oceanic regions both), rain sprites, krakens / leviathans (same thing? two different things? tbd), and possibly underwater dragons.

I have a moodboard right here. And that’s about all on that front. 

Except for the pinterest board and inspo tags here on tumblr that are really more for aesthetic and inspiration than actual worldbuilding.

Aries, Sagittarius, and Aquarius for the writing ask! <3

aries: when have you felt the most confident in your writing? when have you felt the least confident?

I feel both of these at all times. Although it’s more perfectionism mixed with smugness, where I’m convinced what I produce is terrible, but at least it’s better than a lot of actually published things.

sagittarius: do you find your writing humorous? do you have any comic relief characters? what do you do if a scene gets too serious?

Depends on what I’m writing tbh. The cyborg wip is supposed to be heavily comedic so if something gets too serious there I’ll probably try to lighten the mood with a joke or a rapid change of tone. Cheedo is probably the most comic relief character I currently have. I rarely set out to write any specific archetypes, especially comedic ones, because humor is so subjective and can fall flat easily if the character isn’t written right. 

Other than that, people tell me I’m funny? People I’ve never met who’ve only read things I write, so I assume many find it entertaining? Which is lucky because that’s my intention.

aquarius: what is the most unique thing about your current wip?

They’re all unique blends of ingredients I’ve stolen from other books and media.
