    “what? a guy can’t eat a dozen pancakes in peace?” he asked jokingly. they were at a light night diner, mainly trying to wait out the bad weather but salem had a bad case of the munchies. the twelve pancakes he devoured attested to that and the waiter gave him a slightly concerned look when he ordered a bowl of fruit to continue eating. “i used to think food like this was gross. i didn’t need to eat in halloweentown but all the food back home had spiders or toad’s breath in it. i wonder if they could make spider pancakes.”

       “you’ve always been so small,” they commented as they stirred the pot of boiling soup. it wasn’t the kind they used to make in halloween town, only vegetables and beef made it into the pot, but it still had the flavor that no one but boo could create. it was also the only fatherly thing they provided for their kids. “you should eat more.” filling up a large bowl, they set it down in front of their daughter and sat down with their own bowl across the table.

           “  you’re  perfect  .  ”     redhead spots the brunette  ,   and adelaine can  ALREADY  tell that she’s the  partner in crime  she may need for the job  .   now  ,   adelaine’s not trying to get  EXPELLED  or anything  ;   but after getting arrested ?   her fingers have been itching for  ...  more  .    she grabs the other’s arm  ,   charming smile on her lips  .     “  hi  ,   i’m adelaine  .   do you have any plans for the night ?  ”     (  @lilxxterror gets a starter !  )

    narrowly dodging another snowball, it was nice to see that at least some people were trying to make the best out of the terrible weather. it was insane to think that someone was actually strong enough to keep this up for so long but he didn’t get to think about it for long before he realized another snowball was heading for someone else that wasn’t paying attention. “hey! watch out !” he called out to the girl, hoping to get her attention in time.

        “  this is  no  good  .  ”    lyra is uncomfortable as it is  ,   being surrounded by these humans  ;   and being in a shop boutique  .   she was dragged in by the owner  ,   they complimenting her  ...  LOOKS  ,   how she would look perfect in the dress  .   this dress that hugs her body  ,   pushes at her curves  ;   she’s not so  USED  to this human body  ,   much preferring her siren one  ;   and so she does feel uncomfortable  .      “  it constricts the movement far too much  .  ”     (  @lilxxterror  gets a starter  !  )

        “  sometimes  ...  ”    fingers are brought up to her lips  ,   she looks at the other  .    “  i don’t know how to  HANDLE  everything i feel in this body  .  ”    a pause  ,   she drops on the couch dramatically  .

          “  you look  troubled  ,   niña pequeña  .  ”    she hates how  EMPATHETIC  she can be from time to time  -  especially  with the younger ones  .   not that it changes the weight of any of her actions  ,    but sometimes it can get her into  trouble  .    “  is there something haunting your mind ?  ”     she’d always been good with ghosts  .
