It would be cool for Lucy and Lily to be best friends, but I like the idea of Harry and Ron hanging while Lucy and Lily silently play on their own. Maybe Lily is more sports oriented and Lucy prefers to stay inside and paint or practice music.

Because of their closeness to Lily, Lucy and James started to view each other as siblings.
From the back, you couldn’t tell Lucy and Lily apart. As they were in different Hogwarts houses, sometimes they swapped uniform and dyed their hair for a day to see if anyone would notice.
The thing Lucy was most thankful for in life was her friendship with Lily.
Lucy and Lily shared and amazing bond.
Lily and Scorpius got married in Vegas. It was at Lucy's bachelorette-party and both of them were drunk. The biggest shock for Lily was that Scor told her he didn't want a divorce.
