What gave you the idea to draw everyone's eyes and faces?
I have been fascinated with faces and people from very early on, and one of my biggest passions is portraiture. And more specifically, white pencil portraits. The idea for this project actually started a few years ago, when I was working on my David Bowie tribute portrait. I kept listening to “Blackstar” (I love that song so much) over and over, and the lyric “and in the center of it all...your eyes” kept standing out to me. I had a vision of doing a show where the entirety of it was made up of the portraits of those who support and enable me to be a working artist. Some of them were just eyes, and some of them were full head and shoulders, but all of the portraits were of people who believed in me and my artwork.
