Frowning at the canvas in front of her, Mari tapped the end of her paintbrush against her chin distractedly. She’d risen early that morning, intent on getting the colors dancing through her mind out. She was so distracted she didn’t realize her companion from the night before had come into the room until warm arms wrapped around her middle. The submissive leaned back into the other female’s chest with a happy little sigh, closing her eyes at the kiss to her shoulder, then her hair and a whisper against her ear. It felt like it had been so long since someone just kissed her without any intent on anything more than just showing appreciation and affection. It was lovely, just like Lily.
