She should be thankful that he hadn’t left earlier, it wasn’t really in his interest to stick around and watch her do stunts. So why did he? Seungcheol didn’t even know himself, perhaps he was a little bit interested or it was just a thing to keep him away from doing anything reckless. There would be no surprise if it was a blend of both the options, mostly he couldn’t find himself sitting still for more than 5 minutes without getting bored, it had been at least 20 by now. A sigh left his lips, there had been no telling in how this day would end, would the time be spent on this bench or would he get to have his fun as well? Whatever that is.
“Fine, but don’t come complaining to me when your ass hurts too much from sitting on it.” In the time where head thought about if he should stay or go, the female had manage to become not so pleased with one of her actions, this leading to Seungcheol actually wanting to help, somehow, but seeing as the offer was rejected he retreated to just sitting at the bench. “You know sitting too long on the ground ain’t good for you, you’re gonna get sick stupid.” Usually he could throw out worse words than that, but when it came to people he didn’t know all to well, he kept it on the low, still managing to sound like a douchebag from time to time. The spring air wasn’t that cold but still enough to cool the ground quite a bit, the pavement actually feeling like it was late winter instead of late spring.
lately, yeonha talks a lot about how she hardly falls or lands wrong anymore when she’s doing her stunts. has been practicing long enough that she thinks the title parkour goddess has been rightfully acclaimed. she’s no professional, not worthy of winning first place in the competitions she hears talk about, but she’s still pretty good for what she’s come into contact with around south korea. executes her tricks nicely and safely, gracefully, and without pain. tells people about how it hurts a lot in the beginning, obviously you’re still new to the game, don’t have experience or the skill just yet to know how to avoid the many dangers. only if there’s a lot on her mind, or some loud person or noise distracts her is when she’s at a lot more risk than usual. the second her thoughts drift elsewhere, it’s best to just come to a complete stop than keep going. but it’s not like it can always be avoided? sometimes it comes out of nowhere. “i am sick. sick and tired of your complaining.”
it’s not like yeon was counting on hearing a blood curdling scream come so suddenly at the turn of the clock, right on the dot. as if the woman standing quite a distance away was planning on her dog breaking free from it’s leash just so she’d get messed up and hurt. in the middle of walking down the very thin railing of some stairs, she literally tumbles off to the left of it, landing hard on her shoulder. she’s up in an instant, really, brushing the pain away like it’s no big deal when it’s just the sight of a huge mutt coming right for her taking her mind off of it. snapping and eventually licking, she’s not sure whether this encounter was a blessing or a curse. would the dog have safely come to her side if she hadn’t fallen? or would it have run right past, unable to be stopped, eventually bolting into traffic? yeonha doesn’t know and won’t question it, just returns the dog and makes her way back to the friend that probably watched everything unfold in amusement.
he’s the first of those to ever watch her and be sort of.. bored looking. but at the moment, it’s probably expected? cause she’s not doing anything but sitting on the ground, nursing her unexpected injury. just giving it a little time to rest, for her to stretch it out and make sure it’s okay. definitely not broken, no, but she’s waiting for the sting of pain to go away before she starts back up again. her upper body strength is important and she can’t necessarily attempt much if one of her arms and it’s socket isn’t cooperating or feeling the right way. “i’m just trying to be closer to nature and make friends with the bugs that wiggle their way on past me.” of course she’s gonna come up with some stupid excuse rather than admitting to her discomfort. it’s a very yeon thing to do. though whining out loud and rolling around on the ground, kicking her feet like a child is also something she could see herself doing. perhaps if the injury had come when she was practicing anything other than this.
